Dental implants have substantially changed the way we can treat patients with missing teeth.
From a single tooth to an entire mouth, Implants can replicate the look, functionality and strength of your natural teeth. They truly are a fantastic solution for replacing missing teeth.
The versatility of the treatment means that it’s a viable option for those missing a single tooth or those looking to replace multiple missing teeth, with most treatments able to be completed in the same day.
Dental implants can help you restore the confidence in your smile. Implants can be used to replace teeth lost to decay, trauma, gum disease or old age, and can really transform the way you feel about your smile. We are pleased to be able to offer dental implants in Cardiff for our patients.
WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?
Dental implants act as a replacement for missing teeth, replicating the form and function of a natural tooth.
There are two parts, to a dental implant. The implant itself is a small titanium rod which is fixed to the jawbone and sits under the gum, a procedure which is completed by our implant surgeon Guy McLellan.
Once this treatment is complete, we can use the dental implant in a variety of ways.
SINGLE TOOTH IMPLANTS
Dental implants are used to replace a single missing tooth, or to replace 2-3 missing teeth where there’s a small gap. This is achieved by either attaching a single crown to the implant, or by using a small bridge to replace multiple teeth. This can very often be carried out on the same day, allowing you to leave with a full smile.
IMPLANT RETAINED DENTURES
Many people have issues with loose or unstable dentures. Pain, discomfort, trouble eating and embarrassment over the issue is fairly common amongst denture wearers. Dental implants can be used to secure dentures and prevent them from slipping, with cost effective treatment requiring as few as two implants to achieve life changing results.
SAME DAY TEETH
New implant technology means we can now replace a full arch of teeth in a single day, rapidly transforming your smile and improving your confidence. See our All on 4 page for more information.
